/etc/zaptel.conf
span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4
span=2,2,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4
span=3,3,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4
span=4,4,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4
bchan=1-15,17-31
dchan=16
loadzone=us
defaultzone=us

Now you might need to get rid of 'crc4' and change the timing (the second
argument of the span)

in /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf
[channels]

;...

signalling=pri_cpe
pridialplan=unknown
switchtype=euroisdn
context=incoming
group = 1
channel => 1-15,17-31


That is the config for the first E1 port being connected to PRI PSTN
