We were using HFC-PCI cards with isdn4linux, and isdn4linux _is_ a problem 
here. There's lots of echo and delay can get worse than 500ms. Go get a CAPI 
card (from AVM?), or perhaps wait until Klaus Peter finishes his native 
Linux/Zaptel HFC-PCI driver.
