Just since this is being mentioned, if you need a male voice John St George
is another sourve for prompts, commercials etc. Unfortunately he does not
have a web site you can email him at jsgproductions at bellsouth.net

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] IVR prompts: attempts at a standard list

I'm looking to get Allison Smith (http://www.theivrvoice.com) to
record a bunch of prompts for me. I sat down and put together a
number of phrases and words that I would expect to be strung together
in a "normal" phone system. I have not been able to find a set of
"standard" words that one would expect an IVR system to use, so I've
been guessing at what I would think would be the best set to have her
record.

As I am not experienced in these kinds of recordings, I am certain
I've missed quite a few obvious phrases or words. Any ideas?

I also expect I'll use this system to do some minor interfacing with
my network management system, so I've thrown in a few words that
relate to those features. Additions are welcome.

PS: Sorry, at this point I have no plans on releasing the recordings
to the "general public", as I'm certain Allison's licensing agreement
does not cover such use. However, if there is enough interest, maybe
she'd put together a "standard package" subset of these words for
Asterisk users at a reduced rate. I'll ask.
