Yes, it's just that it seems really silly to have to do in-band DTMF
detection on a VoIP protocol.  If you have drop outs in the voice it could
cause double digit detection, too.  Just any way you look at it, it's
generally not a good idea.  However, the reality is that it's probably
something that is going to have to be done to support phones which are
incapable or not configured for sending out-of-band, or which like the
pingtel do not allow you to have *only* out-of-band.
