[Asterisk-Users] ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 2

Hi,

I am in the process of working with my first asterisk box. It is configured with
1 FXO and 1 FXS port so I can test (play) with it.

About once a day it seems as though the FXS card goes brain dead. At least that
is what I think is happening because when I pick up the analog phone there is
no dial tone.

When I stop the zaptel service and then start it I get the following error.

[root at asterisk asterisk]# service zaptel stop
Unloading zaptel hardware drivers: wcusb wcfxo
Removing zaptel module: [ OK ]
[root at asterisk asterisk]# service zaptel start
Loading zaptel framework: [ OK ]
Loading zaptel hardware modules: wcfxo wcusb
Running ztcfg: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 2: No such device or address
(6)
[FAILED]

Shorlty after this message the box looses network connectivity, I cannot ping it
but I do have access from the console but still no network. FWIW, ifconfig -a
shows the interface "up"

I am currently running this version of *

asterisk*CLI> show version
Asterisk CVS-11/30/03-13:40:23 built by root at asterisk on a i686 running Linux

And this fedora kernel
linux-2.4.22-1.2129.nptl

Any ideas ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
-Billh
