Dan,
Sorry it's taken so long, but I just ran these two test calls...

Version info from Asterisk:
Asterisk CVS-12/04/03-22:04:29, Copyright (C) 1999-2001 Linux Support

=========================================================================
Connected to Asterisk CVS-12/04/03-22:04:29 currently running on bebop (pid
= 5145)

DIAX extension 714 is 0.9.6b on Win2k Dell desktop
DIAX extension 715 is 0.9.6 on Win2k Gateway laptop

For fun, (and an attempt at re-aquanting myself) I'm running both of them in
Spanish.

This is from the first call, IAX to IAX via Asterisk:

    -- Registered '715' (AUTHENTICATED) at 192.168.3.100:4569

    -- Registered '714' (AUTHENTICATED) at 24.199.177.150:4569

This call lasted about 10 minutes before I hung it up.

This is the second call, IAX2 to IAX2, via Asterisk:

    -- Accepting AUTHENTICATED call from 24.199.177.150, requested format =
2, actual format = 2
    -- Executing Macro("IAX2[714 at 714]/2", "ext|715|IAX2/715") in new stack
    -- Executing Dial("IAX2[714 at 714]/2", "IAX2/715|90|tT") in new stack
    -- Called 715
    -- Call accepted by 192.168.3.100 (format GSM)
    -- Format for call is GSM
    -- IAX2[715]/6 is ringing
    -- IAX2[715]/6 answered IAX2[714 at 714]/2
    -- Attempting native bridge of IAX2[714 at 714]/2 and IAX2[715]/6
    -- Hungup 'IAX2[715]/6'
  == Spawn extension (macro-ext, s, 1) exited non-zero on 'IAX2[714 at 714]/2'
in macro 'ext'
  == Spawn extension (trusted, 715, 1) exited non-zero on 'IAX2[714 at 714]/2'
    -- Hungup 'IAX2[714 at 714]/2'
    -- Registered '714' (AUTHENTICATED) at 24.199.177.150:4569
    -- Registered '715' (AUTHENTICATED) at 192.168.3.100:4569

Note that a small amount of time (30 seconds to a minute) passed between the
IAX2 answered line and the Attempting native bridge line. I have
notransfer=yes in iax.conf for every IAX definition.

This call lasted about 2 minutes before it disconnected by itself.
