As of now, I am not aware of a channel driver for asterisk to use
brooktrout cards. You could write one if you are so inclined. But that
plays to the comment about what your time is worth. If your time is
worth much, the cost in time of writing the driver may not be worth it.
If you are lucky, the brooktrout api is standard and your work could be
used on newer boards too. If it isn't then you need to think about what
your cost would be later when you can not find appropriate hardware to
run your card on. PCI should be around for another 5 or so years. This
means you will find hardware that supports it for another 8 or so years.
This means you really should concentrate effort on newer cards that will
be around long enough for you to reap benefit from.
