[Asterisk-Users] Grandstream BudgeTone 100

Greetings,
I got my budgetone and talked to a contact at grandstream about the
issues mentioned in this thread. Apparently there is a new HTML page
that is needed by the phone to apply the new fields and settings. The
code supports it, the interface does not.
Additionally they said the MWI indicator is disabled in this version of
the code rev. and I believe the same is the case for the conf. The
Message button CAN be configured to dial right into a voicemail
extension, but you have to have the new HTML page to config it AND have
the phone off hook before pressing it.
I would recommend contacting grandstream for this updated HTML file.
Maybe suggest they put it as a link on their web page. Just a hint, it
needs to be all lowercase in order for the phone to pull it from your
tftp server.
I like the "early dial" feature that Mark talked them into. It attempts
a dial on the cumulative number as each digit pressed until it fulfils a
valid extension. This way you don't have to wait for a timeout for it
to dial.
Also another tip that was not intuitively obvious, the redial button is
also the dial button instead of the #.
My last observation is that if you have the handset off hook and put a
call on hold DON'T HANG UP! it will disconnect the call ;-).
My $.02 worth on the topic. Otherwise for $75 it's a good value. I
can't wait for them to get all the kinks worked out.
Ben

I've just received my Grandstream phones today- they work and sound
great. However, I still haven't been able to get the conf or message
waiting to work either.
I have version 1.0.3.31 installed on my phones. The release notes
(included in the box) say that there is a field in the web configuration
page for setting up the message button. I don't see this on my phones.
What version are you using?

After reading about these $75 SIP phones on this list, I purchased a
couple for evaluation. They do work with asterisk - and are good value
for money, but as somebody commented: they are not yet perfect.
I just wondered if anybody had managed to get either the message-waiting
indicator or the conference button to work?
