His other problem is that he doesn't want the username taken from the uri,
but to specify it separately.
How about this idea: to move the register as an attribute of a peer.
Then the register= can be simply the URI to register; the username and
password can be taken from the peer.
So like:
[fwd.pulver.com]
type=peer
host=fwd.pulver.com
register=21542 at fwd.pulver.com/6001
It ensures that the same username/secret is used for REGISTER and when
other requests are challenged. Simpler to understand too?
