Try looking at www.valcom.com.  Reasonably priced intercom and paging 
equipment.  They have a paging controller that'll open doors, and 
they'll sell you a box that'll interface on FXO, so you can connect it 
to any phone system, incl. *.  Nice stuff.  Do consult with their tech 
support guys regarding the complete install, as power supply can be 
tricky.
