[Asterisk-Users] Channel Driver Architecture

Hi, yes I have looked at the source, and it does somewhat makes sense. I just need to
be sure:

 - In what order are functions called
 - What do the different functions actually do (read: does it also return DTMF?)
 - What is format of a frame?

 I need to understand the cycle better. Much can be gleaned from the source, and I've 
been looking at chan_modem and chan_phone (simplest ones it seems), but I 
still have some gaps.
