thanks for your prompt reply, that is exactly what drives me nuts.<BR>
how about dahdi's system.conf, it counts like this:<BR>

bchan=1-31<BR>
bchan=32-62<BR>
bchan=63-93<BR>
bchan=94-124<BR>

exactly like this on all 5 machines.<BR>

what happens if I do that is that I get T22 messages all over the place.<BR>

I think the firstcic values in your config are not correct.<BR>

On our system we gave 5 E1's per linkset and the following config:<BR>
firstcic => 1<BR>
firstcic => 33<BR>
firstcic => 65<BR>
firstcic => 97<BR>
firstcic => 129<BR>
<BR>
Every E1 has 32 channels, start counting with 0.<BR>
So E1 has channel 0 - 31.<BR>
The second E1 has channel 32 - 63<BR>
But the first channel is used a timing channel, And you have to give the CIC of the first voice channel.<BR>
