Went ahead and enabled:<BR>
echocancel => allways<BR>
echocan_train => 100<BR>
echocan_taps => 128<BR>

on every box, on every link.<BR>

Restarted asterisk (by issuing restart now) on every box and all hell broke loose, calls would come in, PDD was up the roof and then this error:<BR>

transport.c:306 io_enable_echo_cancellation: Unable to enable echo cancellation on cic 494<BR>
transport.c:306 io_enable_echo_cancellation: Unable to enable echo cancellation on cic 586<BR>
<BR>
and so on for every call that made it here....<BR>
there was no audio on the call although the calling party would hear ringing...<BR>
<BR>
also tried 31speech, all links, restarted, same thing... <BR>

any ideas,<BR>
