[asterisk-ss7] GSM handsets-Voicemail MWI no workie

Can you not use the MWI via the serial interface?
That works fine here via the smdi port with Asterisk 1.4 and a cdma nortel switch.
Also, you can call your own script and send the info to a SMSC??? At least if you have the right type of smpp/bind stuff.
