[asterisk-ss7] Sangoma A108 and libss7/chan_ss7 issues

Thanks for your assistance and suggestions to date.
Based on the information you provided, I think I may have narrowed the source
ot the problem down the the timing source.
I have my end of the link set as NORMAL in the Sangoma config and Zaptel
config. This is obvious for me in a Q931/PRI context but I'm not sure how
signalling works on an SS7 context.
Is SS7 similar to PRI in that I need a master timing source? Can I ask you
folks how you have set up you timing?
My Zaptel config is:
