Either through a library that provides the SS7 signaling 
(libss7/chan_zap) or through a channel driver that does it all 
(chan_ss7).

Yes, I think with any of the current SS7 solutions you can use Digium 
cards for SS7.  I wrote libss7 in fact using Digium cards here at work.
