[asterisk-ss7] RE: asterisk-ss7 Digest, Vol 15, Issue 14

Hello People,

Can some body tell me, if I can test SS7 channels between two asterisk box
without using zaptel hardware. Is it possible to use asterisk chan_ss7 to
use as IP to IP SS7 link?

I will be thankfull to you people

Can somebody put me right?

I loaded all the 8 ports of the two A104D Sangoma card and I have the
extensions.conf and the ss7.conf and the debug as attached.

Yet I could not use at least two providers at the same time.

Please guide on how to do this to make calls flowing through the ss7 on
multiple linksets.

You need to fix extensions.conf:

Change the line
   exten => _234XX5XXXXXXX,2,Dial(ss7/linkset-C/0${EXTEN:-10})
to
   exten => _234XX5XXXXXXX,2,Dial(ss7/C/0${EXTEN:-10})

and similar for other dial commands that refer to a SS7 linkset name.

Can please someone help on how does the CIC mapping of
the chan_ss7 works especially for configuring more
than 1 e1. Does it support skip on the timeslot 16? I
think my wrong CIC mapping is the reason why I get
silence on my second, third and forth e1. Also, may I
ask if the next release will support routing interms
of e1/t1 and not only by linkset? I think this will be
usefull specially if you are interconnecting to a
telco switch that uses trunk group for segregating
traffic.
