[Asterisk-ss7] ss7 Protocol Analyzer

We are in search of a SS7 simulator / analyzer for the development of our
SS7 Solution.
 
Anyone have any favorites or know of any products that have a good value
with price / feature set?
 
It might be a single hardware piece that provides testing for all sorts of
protocols but I like the software versions that seem to be able to give LOTS
more information and allow you to build and send test messages.
 
In particular I would like to find one that can possibly help "guide" our
development from level 1 up. with messages such as 
    "Invalid Frame Rate (should be 1333 fps)" 
    Invalid message ZZZ 
    etc.
