<pre wrap="">Thanks for that link. I'd been trying to figure out how to get a license
for Lumenvox but their site doesn't even allow one to register an
account which drove me crazy today. $50 for a single license will
probably have to do since I don't have a whole lotta $$$ to spend on a
solution as simple as I actually require.
Thanks again
Eric

I don't think speech recognition is usually very simple as its all a matter of confidence/degree of trust you have recognised things correctly.
But it will work well enough for what you want - i.e. tell if someone said something - your issue might be background noise sounding like a voice therefore something like "yes" (or similar) might be a bit easier to focus on

<pre wrap="">I'm looking for an extremely simple voice/speech recognition system.
I don't even need the system to recognize the specific word, just that a
word or phrase has been spoken at a certain time. Yes, I know that using
DTMF would simplify what I'm doing but what I'm doing won't allow for
anything other than speech.
Is there a system that can be semi-easily setup that will allow me this?
I'm starting to look into Sphinx but it seems to be far more than what
I'm looking for.
