When I created the 1.6.0 connector I also tested it with 1.6.1 to ensure it worked there.
It worked perfectly fine so I did not make a 1.6.1 connector.

Can you be more specific about how it doesn't work? Does it fail to load? Does it load
and then trying to create a speech port fail? Does it fail at decoding?
