This was an app_speech_utils issue that was reported by Lumenvox from one of their customers internally. It will be fixed in the next release of Asterisk, there is no timeframe on that. You can get the patch by using svn:

svn diff -c147517 http://svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk/branches/1.4
