Fedora 14 (and other distros) has a newer version of GCC than any of the 
distros we've documented build instructions for on this page:

https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/TOP/Building+-+Linux

If you use one of those distros (which we do our own builds and testing 
on), the build instructions will work. If you use a different distro, 
you might run into problems. This one has already been identified and 
will probably be addressed next week.
