Someone was saying they were having problems getting Ice compiled from source on Ubuntu. As Kevin mentioned you could just install the packages via apt, but if you want to build from source, you'll need the following packages (besides build-essentials): libmcpp-dev libbz2-dev libexpat-dev libssl-dev libdb4.7++-dev
