[Asterisk-i18n] Language pack

Thanks Johansson,
with your help I improved my understanding of the logic Asterisk uses.

If I get it right:
*say.c - default language definition file for saying numbers, dates and time
*say.conf - compiled version changes - numbers, dates and time.
*voicemail.conf - timezone definitions for the users
*zaptel.conf - time, timezone
*indications.conf - frequency settings.
*overall default language definition: sip_custom.conf (insert language=XY)
-this works for SIP drivers (if you use zapata drivers or something it is probably zapata.conf or something...

It would be great to put together a whole list and put it online somewhere so others may follow it. I tried to find something like this online, but didn't succeed. I'll keep it updated if find something else important.

I have another question. It is about time and date. I want Asterisk to use the right syntax for the numbers when saying the time. (english: 38 is thirty-eight, Slovenian is eight-and-thirty - similar to german and some other languages) So I made changes:
***defined the si language synthax of say.c, say.conf , (just beta, as I didn't include all the specialities of si language)
***set default language in sip_custom.conf to SI,
*** inserted needed files into sounds/si and sounds/digits/si

However when i dial *60 the time said is still using the english structure.

I didn't really know what else to do about it so I change language to *de and overwrite the sounds/de and sounds/digits/de files... This seems to work.
However my goal is to prepare a whole Slovene language pack (the right way) not just a hack-type of solution.... Anyone can help me where should I look?

I don't really know how to test saynumber, if it works correctly in slovenian language or not. I would probably need to write an extension, that would say certain number/numbers, I saw some examples in /contrib/i18n.testsuite.conf
But when I copied it into extensions.conf it didn't really work. I also tried extensions_custom.conf. I guess i am on the wrong track here or missing something important.

BTW I use Asterisk 1.4 with FreePBX 2.4

I congratulate and thank everyone who made the effort of reading this long post till the very end. Hope my lack of knowladge of Asterisk didn't frustrate you too much :)

Greetings!
Andrej
