This is pretty easy. </div><div><br></div><div>1. Go into the asterisk CLI. SSH into your asterisk box with root privileges. Then enter the command "asterisk -vr" from the command line. You should then be in the Asterisk CLI.</div><div><br></div><div>2. Dial the number you want to use via your cell phone or another phone that can get to the public exchange.</div><div><br></div><div>3. Watch the CLI you should see the number you dialed show up. Most of the time it is a 10 digit number 2051231234</div><div><br></div><div>4. Go to the GUI and go to the Incoming Calling Rules tab.</div><div><br></div><div>5. Create a new rule.</div><div> The Pattern will be _2051231234 (the number you want to handle coming in)</div><div> The time will be "none"</div><div> The destination will be either an extension you created, a ring group you created, or an autoattendant you created.</div><div><br></div><div>6. I have been struggling at trying to allow dial in by Direct In-dial, but <br>
haven't been able to figure out how.<br>

I tell it dial in by DID then I can't figure out the pattern that it <br>
asks for...<br>
