I'd like to add that I'm having the same trouble here too. I'm an experienced Linux user (using ubuntu as the OS (no GUI) and an Asterisk Source installation (version Asterisk 1.4.23.1).

Here's what i want to do:

I have 2 lines (trunks) with my sip provider (broadvoice.com) and one line is our home number (XXX-XXX-1950), and the 2nd is my business number (home office) (XXX-XXX-1984).

I want to present different IVRs for the 1984 line and the 1950 line. I have tried to set this up using the GUI and I have not been met with success.

Does anyone know how to do this?

It seems there should be a way to make this possible, as I'm sure there are real world needs to have different IVRs on different numbers.

Thanks.

On Thu, Mar 19, 2009 at 2:41 PM, Rajesh Kumar ( Alshaya Group International ) <raj@alshaya-group.com> wrote:

In such a case what should be the incoming rule (pattern) for 22980574 that's one of my DID and I want to have diffrent IVR on that right now I have a _X. (catch all) which causes any call on any of our DID to go on main IVR but I need to make more than 3 and we have a total of 100 DIDs. I also have problem with outgoing it only first 6 Digits cau u point me to right direction? How about Call Forwarding? Is there anything we can do from GUI for call forwarding?

Sorry so many questions but being a newbie on linux and asterisk I'm stuck at this points. Thank you for your time going through this.
Subject: Re: [asterisk-gui] [Asterisk-GUI] multiple sip accounts with the same provider

Ask your provider whether he supports DID trunks. We had the same
problem until we switched to DID for multiple numbers hosted by a single
provider.
In a DID trunk, the provider usually signals the corresponding number
with every call. This allows you to differentiate between different
numbers using patterns.

Then again, if you _dont_ want to differentiate between numbers, you can
use a 'catchall' incoming rule with a pattern like "_." or "_X." (first
is not recommended by digium i think, but it worked for us whereas the
second pattern didn't).
