Hi Noah,
That's a good point but it's kind of academic to me. The application I am designing needs to have a licensed Linux or Unix distro, so I'm kind of stuck with it. Thanks for verifying that you're having the same problems with 4398 (and 4397).

I wonder if this is a platform-specific bug. I'm also using RHEL 5
(well, CentOS 5.2, but same thing). I haven't tested on other
platforms.
