Directory can be performed by voicemail groups.

on the asterisk CLI -> core show application directory

You may also be able to chose this in voice menus.

The context you want is "default" (Directory(default))

As far as the CallerID, you can set it per each individual phone.

I highly suggest updating the GUI so that it does this correctly:

Subject: [asterisk-gui] CalledId Name and Directory services.

Hi Asterisk Experts,

Thanks a lot I have been benefited hugely by this group and the
information floating around here

I have successfully managed to get AsteriskNOW.

The users can log on with the hard and soft IP phones and make use of
the facility,

When the users logs on successfully with their respective username and
passwords it is the username which is the callerID number which is
displayed on the screens.

Is there a possibility to make the callerid Name to be displayed. This
will be easy for them to identify.

And also is there a possibility of getting a directory facility that is
the user to search for a particular user by name or number.

Please help

Thanks
Abdul
