[asterisk-gui] no root user

Installed 1.0.1 from iso and can't login as root on the pbx (Alt-F2)-
trying to log in with 'root' and the password i issued during setup
(root and admin are the same passwords in beta6 so going on that idea)
and i get invalid password

But i can login as 'admin' and then issue
Sudo su
And it gives me root access

i have just issued the passwd command and set the root password i can
now login as root
