Now no wrapper script should be needed. 

wget http://svn.digium.com/svn/zaptel/trunk/xpp/utils/genzaptelconf
chmod +x ./genzaptelconf
./genzaptelconf -zv

This should get into 1.2 and 1.4 branches as well soon.
