For more details take a look at some of the earlier message in the
previous thread. One of the symptoms is that when one clicks on the
'Voicemail' tab, it says :

"Looks like a default Voicemail Extension is not yet configured
Please set an 'Extension for Checking messages' and click on 'save' button"

Define a default Voicemail Extension, click on 'save' and instead of
seeing your default Voicemail Extension, it merely says 'New Entry' in
the left window.

The extension is not added (even if Save is clicked) and subsequent
attempts to enter the Voicemail tab repeats the warning message.

I've spent a couple of hours on this and it appears to have less to do
with the version of Asterisk or Asterisk GUI and more to do with the
changes that have been made to extensions.conf manually. In particular,
the problem appears to be able to be triggered merely by removing the
[default] context from the extensions.conf file. It appears that the
Asterisk GUI is hard wired to use the [default] context, even if, for
example, the userscontext parameter points to another valid, defined,
context.

So the bug is in the undocumented dependency of the Asterisk GUI on a
context named default (and it inability to cope with a valid
replacement). I have not done enough testing to determine why it
appeared to some to be tied to a specific version of Asterisk or
Asterisk GUI.
