[Asterisk-doc] Newbie need your help

I am new for Asterisk and like to test in my System. My System has P4, 512 RAM,80 GB, Red hat 9.0 OS and Cable ISP

 

What are the requirements to use Asterisk connected phone to call REGULAR Phone Line. What kind of Hardware should I buy?

 

I would appreciated, if you help me
