<div>Hi All,</div> <div> </div> <div>I Posted this message earlier on User list, but haven't had much success. I would like to see if any of the developers have any news they can share on this topic.</div> <div> </div>
<div>We are looking at porting asterisk onto a embedded platform based on IXP or ARM. I would like to know the experiences of anybody who has already ported to these platforms. I am also particularly interested in issues related to performance and scaling on these platforms.
</div></blockquote><div><br>I did several ports of asterisk to the ixp425 and related series of processors, and also a few arms. But basically, if you need Echo cancelation (analog ports) don't do it, there no point. If you just want to route sip traffic and transcode a little , the ixp425 was a dandy processor. I got up to 20 good quality calls in 32MB ram with it.
<br> </div>The recent blackfin work by david rowe, digium, and others has been much more encouraging on the DSP/Echocan front. David Rowe has got working hardware and software on the Blackfin stamp boards:<br><br><a href="http://www.rowetel.com/blog/index.php">

I know recently Digium announced a platform based on Blackfin.
