Consumers would call an 800 number that would give them about 20 seconds of
information based on ANI or manually entered phone number. There would be
a practical max of 4,000 calls per day. Opening volume would be around 200
- 300 per day. At launch, we would probably need 8 trunks. We would
then add and adjust as we added client sites to the system.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The IVR server would need to have a database that
we could update on a realtime basis. We could do that via (1) a web server
and http 'gets' or (2) an ODBC connection or maybe something else.

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Are you a 'Microsoft only' shop? All of our
current sites and databases are linux based. Our favorite database,
postgreSQL can compile and run on Windows, according to the pros, but I've never

market, assuming it's easy to get voice files (prompts) and IVR scripts

PRI. That doesn't matter to us, since we will be 800-based, therefore not

that's more than we need ourselves) or a more formal business relationship
(i.e. profitable and support as well as SLA instead of an informal
relationship, but support is probably better left to Digium than

<grin>. I also don't fully understand how local calls work - do
you pay per minute like long distance - One of our needs is local for cell

need in order to get a quote. If someone has an idea of who to talk to
in order to order a voice T1 please let me know. I know AT&T,
Deutsche Telecom, France Telecom, Japan Telecom, Qwest, RCN, SBC, SingTel
(Singapore Telecom), Sprint, Teleglobe, Verizon, Ameritech, Cavalier Telecom,
Cambrian Communications, Dominion Telecom, Dynegy, Global Crossing, Pacific
Bell, Time Warner Telecom, Williams are all on-net in the facility our data
center is in, I don't know if they offer voice here though and don't have
contacts at most of these. As you can guess from this list of some of
the vendors in our data center we're in a huge mega-colocation facility on the
east coast.</SPAN></FONT></P>
