[asterisk-dev] Asterisk 15 branch has been cut

Hello Everybody,

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Asterisk 15 branch has been
cut in preparation for a release of Asterisk 15.0.0 in the next few
months.  In the next week or so, you will see 15.0.0-beta release as
well.  For those that actively participate on gerrit, you will now
need to consider cherry picking relevant new patches (with tests
included) for the 15 branch.

One thing that we have considered is trying to do a weekly phone call
for the duration of the 15 testing and preparation cycle to talk about
the status of Asterisk 15 testing and code reviews.  This might be an
opportunity for people who have patches waiting to get into 15 to have
discussions with other developers about how to move those patches
forward.  Also, it's an opportunity to discuss bugs that might have
arisen in the testing of 15.  The initial format would be more of an
interactive Q&A type call, rather than a formal meeting with an
agenda.

Would there be enough interest from members of the development
community to try something like this out?
