    Go ahead and make this protected by a read/write lock. Sorcery instances are not something that really come and go, they are generally created once at startup.

    This function will never get called now. The ao2 container has a reference to the sorcery instance itself. You could do something where in ast_sorcery_unref if it is the last reference it is unlinked from the instances container.
