[asterisk-dev] setting defaultlanguage in asterisk.conf

The sample asterisk.conf has:

  ;defaultlanguage = en           ; Default language

I tried setting this to a different value and it does not seem to work.
A quick look in the code shows that the global defaultlanguage gets set
to the build-time default at start-up and does not get set since.

Any objections to fixing this in the parsing of asterisk.conf in
asterisk.c ?

If so, is this something that would be a candidate for 1.8 as well
(given that it is "promised" in the sample asterisk.conf)?
