here is a nice neat code simplification it could be expanded to wrap all 3 into one.

ast_dsp_silence_noise_with_energy any one ?? have a flag to decide if we want noise / silence ??


Summary
-------

dsp_process was enhanced to work with alaw and ulaw in addition to slin.

wanting to enhance the WaitFAX app to detect / voice or fax in the dialplan.

noticed that some functions could be enhanced so here is first pass
