[asterisk-dev] 1.6 vs. 1.8

My 2 cents on the issue of what version of Asterisk to use. The dialer
that we use for high speed calling, made by
http://www.venturevoip.com, and supported fabulously by Matt Riddell
(Matt Riddell <matt at venturevoip.com>), still uses 1.4. We tried to use
1.6 and the dialer did not work. So something is still better in 1.4
that has not been replicated in the next versions. If you want find
out why exactly Matt is till using 1.4, please write to him.
