Please don't feel that way.  This is exactly the kind of _productive_ conversation about migrating to Asterisk 1.8 that I would like to have here.  :-)

Any additional information you have on these issues would be helpful.  These potentially timing related IAX sort of half-works issues are really difficult.  The problem itself isn't obvious, so the fix certainly isn't either.  One thing that would be really helpful is a test environment that demonstrates the problem that a developer could log in to for working on the problem.  If not that, instructions on how to replicate it.  Without a test environment for this, I'm not sure how we'll make much progress.
