[asterisk-dev] HELP: Change the way of reading 'extensions.conf'

Hi everyone, 

I'm a Computer Sciences student and I'm working on my Graduate Project. My 
professor asked me to change the way that 'Asterisk' uses to read 
'extensions.conf'
but I dont know which file I should edit. 

For more explanation, I wanna change
exten =>_2XXXX,1,Dial(IAX2/Remote_Server/${EXTEN})
to something else.
