less memory - peer config does not need to be duplicated in pvt and peer
faster - peer config does not all have to be copied into pvt on peer
match on the offchance that some items may be needed
more extensible - new functionality and config options can be added to
the peer structure alone
understandable - data is normalised and located where expected i.e. peer
has only peer data and pvt has only dialog data
