I see,

There is however one BIG (imho) advantage of using  call meetme/ 
confbridge  approach:  Invitations of additional parties into the conf.
With the current approach it can be done (with slight modification to  
meetme)  in the same way for Page or Meetme created conferences.
With the approach you're suggesting this will be much more complicated.
