Hi Alex,
    should be solvable in some pretty simple steps:

1. Download latest 1.2.31.1 release
2. Read changelog between 1.2.26 and 1.2.31.1
3. Go "Ahah!" to yourself, then organise upgrade of 1.2.26 system
4. Profit!

I spent a bunch of time last year getting this tracked down and solved :-)
