I'm using two asterisks connected together with sip/tls (and other with 
sip/tcp) through fw/nat (asterisk client is behind nat, asterisk server 
is on public ip) and not observing issues with nat or tcp connections.
bigger issue for me is, that asterisk server is sometimes crashes, as I 
reported here:
0011972: tls transport often causes asterisk to lock
