Hey folks,
As I am unable to spend much time these days maintaining the
AstManProxy (Asterisk Manager Proxy) codebase, I've decided to open it
up as a Github project to better enlist community involvement.
You can find the AstManProxy Github repository here:
http://github.com/davetroy/astmanproxy/tree/master
For those of you unfamiliar with Git and/or Github, it's a new source
code management system championed by Linus Torvalds that is remarkable
for two reasons: 1) offline commits (for better use by mobile users),
2) social development. By the latter, I mean the ability to easily
fork off branches and merge changes back to the mainline codebase. It
really is a new way of thinking about open source development and I
encourage you to check it out.
The project is open for anyone to fork.
There is also a new Google group available for discussion here:
http://groups.google.com/group/astmanproxy?hl=en
Steve Davies has agreed to push in some changes, and I hope that,
along with the involvement of others, helps push the project forward.
I apologize for not being able to put more time on this over the last
year or so and hope this frees things up considerably.
Regards,
Dave
