1. Your post belongs on the asterisk-users list, as it is about using  
Asterisk, not developing Asterisk.
2. If you are building from source, you should choose a much newer  
release than 1.4.2.
3. You hijacked a thread.  Please don't do that -- to start a new  
topic, please compose a new message rather than replying to another  
message sent to the list about a different subject.
