Not at all. Running menuselect will show the installer exactly what
*can* be built, and what is selected to be built. If there are
configure-time options that could affect that (like choice of GSM
library for example) then the configure help text is useful as well, but
to answer the OP's question he could have know what was going to be
built by using menuselect. This has not changed at all from Asterisk 1.4.
