Bob is right, it's highly unlikely that this would be a zaptel code  
problem.  Most likely it's an IRQ problem.  If possible, move the card  
to a slot that does not share IRQs with any other devices -- how  
you'll know which slot to choose is highly system-dependent, you may  
find this information in the system BIOS setup.

If that does not help, you might try adding "acpi=off" to the kernel  
command line.

Ultimately, you've got to realize that the X100P is just a cheap  
winmodem.  The time you spend getting it working may be worth more  
than the money you'll save over buying a TDM01B from a discount  
reseller.  Yes, the TDM400P is discontinued, but several resellers  
still have it in stock at prices well below list.
