This morning (Wed. 3/7) an ad hoc meeting was announced on the #asterisk-dev IRC channel to discuss the oldest 15 mantis issues in the “new” state. It was an attempt to push these issues towards a resolution, or at least obtain an understanding of what is preventing these issues from progressing. I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend, as well as apologize for the lack of notice to everyone that would have liked to attend if they were given the appropriate amount of notice. The meeting minutes are below. We are tentatively scheduling a follow-up meeting next Wednesday (3/14) at 1:00 pm Central Time. If you are interested in participating, you are encouraged to attend. A reminder for the next meeting, along with confirmation of date/time and contact information, will be posted to this mailing list by Friday of this week.

Issue 5143, “agents in realtime” - It was discussed that chan_agent is deprecated in asterisk branch 1.4 and that there is a possibility that app_queue will be rewritten for asterisk 1.6. This issue will be assigned to Russell Bryant and closed.

Issue 5208, “SayAlpha does not read special characters, such as ',' and '/'.” - Steve Murphy took this issue. New prompts will be requested.

Issue 5240, “show managers + show manager foobar” - This issue was closed prior to the meeting.

Issue 6019, “forced bypass switch in pbx.c – makes realtime (or other switch) master” - The discussion was that this patch should be considered a proof-of-concept and that this functionality may need to be rewritten. An optional [general] section keyword like 'bypassswitch' may be part of the solution. Dwayne Hubbard will take this issue and propose something to the community.

Issue 6683, “fix for callerid on Indian PSTN” - It is unclear as to whether or not this patch reliably works since mixed results are noted in the comment history. Steve Murphy volunteered to take ownership of this issue. It would be great to get some people in India to test this patch and verify its correctness. Anybody out there available for testing?

Issue 6754, “SQLite3 support for asterisk CDR” - This issue is related to issues 7149, 7790, and 8694. Russell Bryant volunteered to take action on these issues.

Issue 6910, “play agent number to caller in queue” - This issue failed a formatting review, but may be functionally acceptable. Dwayne Hubbard will drive this issue to resolution.

Issue 7011, “libpri locks up if an external resource-hungry process is run on the same system” - This issue may be best debugged on the reporter's system, since it can take variable amounts of time to reproduce. Joshua Colp volunteered to discuss the issue with the reporter and if possible, request access to the system after it has been reproduced.

Issue 7149, “new custom SQLite3 CDR driver backend (cdr_sqlite3_custom)” - This issue is related to 6754 (see above) and will be handled by Russell Bryant.

Issue 7224, “initial patch for doing simple message flagging” - This issue is an incomplete proof-of-concept that may have value in future versions of asterisk. Jason Parker volunteered to give this issue some tender loving care.

Issue 7256, “destroy channel on ZT_EVENT_REMOVED” - There was some discussion as to whether this issue was trunk-only or if it can be merged into branch 1.4 and trunk. The impact/risk to non-Astribank users is minimal. Russell Bryant will merge this issue into trunk + 1.4.

Issue 7409, “provide support for /etc/{default, sysconfig}/zaptel file with module dependent options for 2.6-based kernels” - The issue's comment history shows that half of this patch is under debate, while a variation of the other half was recently merged into zaptel trunk revision 2265. Dwayne Hubbard will further analyze this issue to determine if it can resolved, or if an architectural design from Kevin must be made.

Issue 7420, “addon for automon” - There may not be a disclaimer on file. Dwayne Hubbard will determine if in fact a disclaimer is or is not on file. Once the disclaimer status is known we will re-evaluate this issue.

Issue 7497, “GROUP_COUNT returns invalid result on calls from queue to agentcallback or local channel” - Joshua Colp volunteered to take action on this issue.

Issue 7790, “res_sqlite module for asterisk – SQLite2 support” - This issue is related to 6754 (see above) and will be handled by Russell Bryant.
